Bogey’s Restaurant / Quality Inn Salmonella Lawsuits - Washington (2003)

Over 58 people became ill with Salmonella infections after eating a banquet dinner served at Bogey’s restaurant located in the Quality Inn in Clarkston, Washington, on March 6, 2003. After an extensive investigation, Health Department officials concluded that the most likely source of the illnesses was undercooked, “pooled” eggs that were used to make “fried ice cream.”

Marler Clark represented eight people who became ill with Salmonella infections after eating at Bogey’s in claims against the restaurant. Those who brought claims included a Clarkston, Washington, resident whose illness led to reactive arthritis, which left him unable to work. Although he became ill after eating at a company banquet, the man was eventually terminated by his company due to his inability to work.

Marler Clark resolved all clients’ claims in 2004.
